    Description

A vintage cadmium glass button with gilt fluorish set in a 925 sterling silver setting. Glows bright orange under a blacklight, a property specific to cadmium in glass. The glass is from the 1940s and measures 14mm. The ring is a size 7 and can be resized. Cadmium glass is also sometimes known as manganese glass, although cadmium is the true name. It is loved by many that enjoy UV reactive glass such as uranium. Your purchase comes with a keychain blacklight.
Feel free to check out my other UV glass jewelry items for sale. I specialize in uranium glass jewelry but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use these fantastic cadmium glass pieces!  I do custom commissions as well with a specialty in sterling silver rings so don't hesitate to contact me if you are looking for something specific.
Please let me know if you are interested in more than one item as I do deals on multiple purchases.
I also specialize in vintage and antique jewelry restoration, including fitting uranium glass stones into such pieces. If you have an old piece of jewelry you'd like restored and/or set with uranium, shoot me a message with photos. I can send you examples of my work.
I treasure hunt all over the world for vintage UV  glass pieces to use in jewelry, as well as new pieces from Czech Republic. I specialize in sourcing old art deco jewelry components and faceted stones. I also very much enjoy finding vintage uranium glass jewelry pieces. I represent my vintage pieces to the best of my knowledge with all the research I can muster, but from time to time I may get something incorrect, however, I strive to avoid any misrepresentation and will designate if I am unsure of something. All of my own pieces are made with the greatest care and love and have a lifetime guarantee for repair. I test all glowing items in both my own pieces and in vintage pieces with a pin scratch test, a presidium tester, and a Geiger counter to ensure that all of my items are true uranium glass.
