Original Dungeons & Dragons woodgrain box set third plus printing

Original woodgrain box set of Dungeons and Dragons. This is identified as a Third Plus printing as per the information on the Acaeum site. The woodgrain box has the horizontal grain and larger decal.
The books are Fourth printings. This isn't a one-off - I've read these sets have been found before. Apparently Gary and company weren't too particular when boxing up their product - various combinations of printings sometimes got assembled with prduct on hand. So this would have clearly been one of the later third-print runs - the original 3rd print box along with the new & freshly printed fourth print books.
The set is complete, all three booklets and reference sheets included.
I'll strive for accuracy and of course please see the detailed photos. The box is in very good condition. There is an abrasion in the one corner but the box isn't split. The balance of the box is solid and fits tight. Obviously the label has the names of various D&D supplements written on it. The books are very nice. Solid condition, no writing. I can see a hint of corrosion on the outside of the staples and there is no rust on the inside of the booklets and no staining from the staples on the pages.
